what has changed?<\/h3>\n<p>\n  This <strong>new standard<\/strong> replaces the existing standard <strong>EN 1004:2004<\/strong> as of <em>November 2021<\/em>.<br> The dates of endorsement and implementation of the standard depend on <strong>the local authorities of<\/strong> the EU Member States.\n  <\/p>\n<p>\n    <strong>As a manufacturer,<\/strong> we have to provide materials and solutions to the latest standards!<br> Changes to EN 1004 will also affect <strong>users.<\/strong>\n  <\/p>\n<h4>More significant changes:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The maximum distance from <strong>the ground to the first platform<\/strong> is now 3.40 m.<\/li>\n<li>If <em>an auxiliary platform<\/em> (height up to 60 cm) is used, the first platform can be up to 4 m high.<\/li>\n<li>Two working or intermediate platforms may be a maximum of <strong>2.25 m<\/strong> apart (instead of 4.20 m).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n  The standard requires that workers must be protected on all sides when scaffolding <strong>is being installed and removed<\/strong>.<br> This means that <strong>hip and handrails<\/strong> must be in place before stepping onto the platform.\n  <\/p>\n<h4>Custers solutions for safe working:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\n      <strong>Mobile Guard<\/strong> &#8211; a handrail installed 3 m above the platform.<br> After the next platform is installed, knee-high handrails are installed <em>while sitting in the open hatch<\/em>.<br> This system moves with the work process and allows the use of <strong>conventional diagonals<\/strong>.\n    <\/li>\n<li>\n      <strong>Safe Guard<\/strong> &#8211;
